Looks like this year's fires are gaining a foothold with 1.8 million acres already burned to date (June 29, 2005)compared to the 10-year average to date of 1.3 million. Last year was approximately 800,000 acres burned to date which was a mild year. This year is anything goes with the increasingly hotter summer temperatures and reduced moisture exacerbated with the above normal Winter 04 and Spring 05 precipitation encouraging rapid growth of grasses and shrubs only to be dried out this summer next to dead plants from 3 to 5 years worth of drought. Not a good combination. While your at it, you can check out my main forest fire fighting site, Smoky Mike. I'll be ready to go once the National Prepardness Level gets to a "4" or "5" with 5 being the worst in terms of needed resources that are in extreme short supply, including fire fighting personnel. I've been conditioning myself for the past 3 weeks in preparation should I decide to go.

MacCallum says, "I think this is the central question here, whether or not all of this in Iraq has been worth it. Do you believe it has not been worth it?"
BOXER: We went into a country that, according to the state department, the Bush state department at the time, did not have one cell of Al-Qaeda terrorists in Iraq. There were more terrorist cells in America than there were in Iraq. Now it's a haven for the terrorists. We have made a mess of it. We've never had a plan and last night the president was eloquent and I appreciate his compassion and, Good Lord, we all feel it deeply in our hearts and souls. But where's the plan for success? We didn't hear it, it was more of the same, and I was very disappointed.
RUSH: So MacCallum said to Boxer, "Well, look, why do we have to separate Iraq from the war on terror when bin Laden doesn't? Bin Laden is not making that separation," and Boxer then starts trying to bully Martha MacCallum. This is how this sounded.
BOXER: If you and the president want to follow the advice and the words of Osama bin Laden, be my guest.
MACCALLUM: I don't think that's the issue here. I think --
BOXER: Let me make my point. I want to get him, and because we turned away --
MACCALLUM: But you're suggesting that Osama bin Laden is saying--
BOXER: Because we turned away -- if I might finish -- because we turned away when we almost had him by the way, and we went into Iraq where there wasn't one terrorist cell, we blew it, and now we're quoting Osama bin Laden? Please.
RUSH: Yes, we are quoting Osama bin Laden because you're not correct. We can rely on bin Laden's words. He says he had a relationship with Saddam and a relationship with Al-Qaeda. We know all kinds of things. The Democrats don't want to face it, don't want to admit it when it's right in front of their face. "Now we are quoting bin Laden?" It's better than quoting you. Bin Laden is a better source in what he's doing than you are, Senator Boxer -- and this business, "We almost had him"? You know what that's a reference to: Tora Bora. "We had him. We had him in the mountains of Tora Bora but we blew it." Let me tell you when we had him, Ms. Boxer, is when your hero, William Jefferson Blythe Clinton of the Clinton Library and Massage Parlor in Little Rock was offered bin Laden three different times by the government of Sudan and said, "Ah, I don't think we have a legal reason to hold the guy. I think we gotta let him go. I can't take it," and Clinton's admitted this in front of an audience. Yeah, we almost had bin Laden once. Tora Bora. Let's blame Bush for this. So, Boxer tries to avoid the final question here.
MACCALLUM: One more quick question. You've been criticized by Senator McCain and others for talking about a timetable to pull out, indicates a naïveté about war that to even to talk about a timetable to get out is undercutting everything our troops have worked for.
BOXER: You're putting words in my mouth and I think in Senator McCain's mouth because I don't ascribe to a timetable for our getting our troops out. What I have suggested is what General Newbold has suggested, which is a goal for when we can achieve success. You never heard that from this president, you know? It's too bad.
MACCALLUM: I'm sure he would say he tried to lay that out last night.
There you have it folks. Senator Barbara Boxer who lied about not supporting the notion of a timetable to get our troops out of Iraq when she did, in fact, supported it several times.
President Bush in fact laid out a goal for troops removal. The goal is as soon as the Iraqi troops and defense forces are capable of taking control of their country, the Coalition group will leave when requested bythe Iraqi govt if they feel comfortable that they can manage it from there on out. That's the only "timetable" you need, folks. Handwringers of America need to have some common sense here.
Success comes first just as we did in WWI and WWII.

Check out Rob Strano, a hearing professional golfer, who took the iniative to learn ASL to such a proficient level that he can now help deaf and hard of hearing children, teens or adults who want learn golf from a professional. Rob Strano's headquarter is out of Washington, D.C.’s Renditions Golf Club. But he is also available at the Kelly Plantation Club in Destin, Florida. Look for him also at selected Nationwide Tour events in 2005.
Check out an article here to read Rob's story of how he got started with ASL Gol Or visit Rob Strano's website ASL Golf.

Meanwhile, in the Senate, Russell D. Feingold, Democrat of Wisconsin, is signing up cosponsors for a resolution demanding that Bush produce a timetable for reaching his goals in Iraq -- and for withdrawing troops thereafter. Feingold quickly received the support of Senator Barbara Boxer, Democrat of California.
Petri said a quick pullout could have a disastrous effect by tempting Iran to invade Iraq as it has done in the past.
“If we were to pull out tomorrow and leave a vacuum, we might see a bigger war in the Mideast,” he said.
In the Senate, only one lawmaker — Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif. — has joined Feingold in co-sponsoring his bill that would give the president 30 days to announce his objectives in Iraq and a timetable for the withdrawal of the troops based on meeting those objectives.
As soon as Foxnews put Sen. Boxer's word up I'll put them here.
Update: From Baldilocks who received an email from Sen. Barbara Boxer last week.
Thank you for contacting me about the war in Iraq. I appreciate hearing from you. I recently traveled to Iraq and would liketo share my thoughts with you regarding my experiences. Meeting with our nation's braveservice men and women was truly inspiring. I admire and appreciate their courage, skill, and devotion to duty. In order to best support our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, I voted for the 2005 Emergency Supplemental Appropriations bill to get them the equipment and support they need.
However, my trip to Iraq confirmed my view that the United States must set a timetable to withdraw our forces. I agree with retired Marine Corps General Gregory Newbold, one of the prime planners of the war in Iraq, who proposes that we set a goal for withdrawal. I believe our long-term presence in Iraq is becoming counter productive.
I recently joined with Senator Russell Feingold (D-WI) in sponsoring a resolution calling on the Bush Administration to provide Congress with a time frame for achieving its military goals in Iraq and withdrawing U.S.troops from Iraq. I believe that it is timethat the Administration disclose its plan forIraq so that we know what our mission is and how we will accomplish it. It is time that we stop fighting this war with no plan and no end insight.
Please know that for as long as our troopsremain in harm's way, I will continue to pushfor an international effort to reduce thehardship on our troops while increasing the paceof training Iraqi Security Forces.
Once again, thank you for your letter and for caring deeply about this critical matter.
No word on a transcript or actual quote unless I see it again on Foxnews and write it down verbatim on what Senator Boxer said in the interview.

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance and honor for the majority of people. For a select few, those committed to a “peace at any price” world-view, Memorial Day is a day to protest war, warriors and to hand out printed propaganda. This year in Columbia Missouri, at the Air Show and the Memorial Day Parade the “Peace at any price” propaganda ended up in shreds – literally.
By an earlier federal court ruling, the Veterans group that hosts Missouri’s Air Show was forced to allow the peace groups to hand out their literature and carry protest signs onto the tarmac of the event. The court ruled that protesters had the right to free speech. So, we provided some free speech of our own, by the name of Operation Simply Shred.
A simple concept, legal, moral, and deliciously humorous – Operation Simply Shred provided a polite, free and immediate shredding service for any unwanted political literature or flyer that an Air Show or parade attendee did not care to keep any longer. Small, powerful battery operated shredders in the hands of polite and helpful volunteers allowed any citizen to exercise their own First Amendment right to shred any flyer or propaganda piece handed to them by a “peace at any price” protestor just seconds after they received it. And it was environmentally friendly to boot.
For years, the peace protesters have held their signs and harangued the Military Recruiters. They protest and try to dig holes in the yard at the ROTC building. They set up cardboard coffins fashioned from old “Kerry for President” signs at the Veterans Air Show. One loose cannon peacenik even assaulted a woman one evening as she countered their Wed. spectacle near the recruiters’ office when she refused to take a flyer. Well, they forgot that free speech goes both ways. The peace protesters know the military can’t express an opinion, so they have a captive audience to their street theatrics. Private citizens, however, have no such restraints.
Armed with shredders, signs advertising the Operation, signs supporting our Veterans and Troops, and with no announcement or forewarning we showed up. As the Klingons say “revenge is best served cold.”
The peace protestors appeared like clockwork when the Air Show gates opened and they started handing out their leaflets. They saw us, and at first our signs confused them. We offered to take any unwanted political flyers from any citizen who wanted to give them to us and then shredded them before the eyes of the smiling citizen and in full view of the peacenik who handed it out. The peaceniks were stunned.
When the shock wore off they came to dialog with us. The head peacenik said “its like Nazi book burning, you’re fascists.” We said “you want free speech, well – people who don’t like your propaganda are free to take it from you, give it to us and shred it.” The head peacenik still didn’t get it and walked off muttering about fascists, apparently unable to understand that by shredding his tract, regular citizens were expressing their rejection of his propaganda and affirming their own right to free expression. He could dish it out but he sure couldn’t take it.
The reaction from the regular citizens was astounding. We were thanked, we were given thumbs up, we were offered food and drink (which we declined as we were way too busy), we had veterans of all ages salute us for our efforts and many laughed out loud when they saw us ready and willing to shred a flyer that someone else was handing out just a few feet away.
Read more here. Now, you can do the same thing at any political events where ever flyers are passed out. Heck, even Lefties can do this. However, Liberals need not to complain if Republicans or those who don't like the flyers do the same thing.
Isn't freedom of expression great?

WASHINGTON - Under fire from Republicans and some fellow Democrats, Sen. Dick Durbin apologized Tuesday for comparing American interrogators at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp to Nazis and other historically infamous figures.
“Some may believe that my remarks crossed the line,” the Illinois Democrat said. “To them I extend my heartfelt apologies.”
His voice quaking and tears welling in his eyes, the No. 2 Democrat in the Senate also apologized to any soldiers who felt insulted by his remarks.
“They’re the best. I never, ever intended any disrespect for them,” he said.
No. I think he intended to disrespect the soldiers in his attempt to score political points but he miscalculated and it backfired badly. He lied, then cried to avoid being fried. This censure thing gained some more traction when McCain spoke of censure against Senator Durbin, which was a shot across the bow by McCain, more or less.

People with HIV sometimes have declines in memory and other cognitive abilities, but information about how the virus actually damages the brain has been scarce. A new technique to measure the thickness of the cortex, the outer surface of the brain that contains most of the brain cells, is providing some insight into how HIV affects the brain.
A recent study carried out at UCLA by Paul Thompson and colleagues used MRI scans to image the brain. Using these images they found cortical thinning of up to 20% in visual, motor and frontal regions of the brain in people with HIV, compared to non-infected individuals. Of particular interest is that the degree of cortical thinning in the parietal and frontal lobes is associated with impairments in cognitive function, and with T-cell counts (an index of immune function) in those with HIV.
These striking findings are the first to demonstrate the 3-dimensional nature of brain changes due to HIV infection, and to show the relation between damage in specific brain areas and immune system deterioration. Use of MRI-based maps such as these may provide biological markers of disease progression, and a novel way to gauge the impact of new anti-viral drugs in clinical trials.

The eight memos — all labeled "secret" or "confidential" — were first obtained by British reporter Michael Smith, who has written about them in The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Times.
Smith told AP he protected the identity of the source he had obtained the documents from by typing copies of them on plain paper and destroying the originals.
The AP obtained copies of six of the memos (the other two have circulated widely). A senior British official who reviewed the copies said their content appeared authentic. He spoke on condition of anonymity because of the secret nature of the material.
Destroy the originals? How can a copied (typed) original be seen as "authentic" on what Blair and Bush had to say about the war? Does destroying the orginal undermine the whole concept on the authenticity of the source? As far as anybody is concerned, this is nothing more than another "fake but accurate" memo when anybody can type up a memo.

We still would have the ability to hold detainees and to interrogate them aggressively. Members of al-Qaida would not be prisoners of war. We would be able to do everything we need to do to keep our country safe. The difference is, we would not have damaged our reputation in the international community in the process. When you read some of the graphic descriptions of what has occurred here—I almost hesitate to put them in the RECORD, and yet they have to be added to this debate. Let me read to you what one FBI agent saw. And I quote from his report:
On a couple of occasions, I entered interview rooms to find a detainee chained hand and foot in a fetal position to the floor, with no chair, food or water. Most times they urinated or defecated on themselves, and had been left there for 18–24 hours or more. On one occasion, the air conditioning had been turned down so far and the temperature was so cold in the room, that the barefooted detainee was shaking with cold. . . . On another occasion, the [air conditioner] had been turned off, making the temperature in the unventilated room well over 100 degrees.
The detainee was almost unconscious on the floor, with a pile of hair next to him. He had apparently been literally pulling his hair out throughout the night. On another occasion, not only was the temperature unbearably hot, but extremely loud rap music was being played in the room, and had been since the day before, with the detainee chained hand and foot in the fetal position on the tile floor. If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime Pol Pot or others—that had no concern for human beings.Sadly, that is not the case. This was the action of Americans in thetreatment of their prisoners.
Now, the atrocities committed in gulags, Pol Pot, Nazi death camps, etc of the past have killed several hundred thousands to millions in forced labor, interrogation, lack of food, water, heat, and so forth. And what's 100 degrees in the cells of Gitmo compared to troops experiencing 120-130 degree weather right now in Iraq!
Senator Durbin (D) is more concerned about the Gitmo prisoners than the troops in Iraq and used his valuable time on the Senate floor to talk about Gitmo prisoners when the Energy bill was being discussed.
Traitor Senator Durbin (D - Liberal) hates America so much he'll aid and give comfort to the enemy just to try and make a point, which in this case was nada and instead took pot shots at our National Defense.
Senator Durbin needs to resign his position. He views are so seriously screwed up he has no common sense. Helping the enemy in time of war. Illegal combatants (no uniforms, target civilians, no unit) are not covered under the Geneva Convention. They are our P.O.W.

People continue with their whinny attitudes falling prey to their own “victimhood” mentality by playing the professional victim again and again on what I write is “unfair” rather than subscribe to the popular notion that everybody has an opinion.
It’s ludicrous to watch people who would read my blogs and turn around and accuse me falsely while at the same time and proclaim “Ima victim of his persecution!” Get real. And so it comes down to this. I have no choice but to spell it out to those who are absolutely clueless who have not kept pace with my blogging from the beginning. Either that or they have a severe case of selective reading. Some changes were made in the “letter” below to address the broader audience here.
1) Please, folks, don’t you tell me on what to do or say in my blog. If you have an interest, for example, on obesity and the health problems associated with it, go ahead a blog about those issues. HIV spreads and multiplies. Smoking and obesity problems do not spread virally. Or provide porno blow by blow description about your fantasy life, go ahead. Or match your educational equivalent starting with the letter “F”. I have my own interests that I cater to and one of them is about the spread of HIV based on risky sex practices or lifestyles that would contribute to the spread of HIV. These types of behaviors helped contribute to the world epidemic spread of HIV by folks of all persuasion. Are people still blind about that?
2) What I address is the consequences of having a risky sexual lifestyle regardless if a person is homosexual, heterosexual, bi, trans or what have you’s. I don’t care what people do in their own bedrooms. It’s their bedrooms, not mine. However, that doesn’t mean I am not allowed to comment about the spread of HIV (or STDs), unborn babies, the virtues of abstinence, faithfulness or a one partner/spouse. But, hey, if they want to have multiple partners knowing full well about the risk of HIV and end up contracting HIV, the fault lies with the person who made the decision to engage in such a risky proposition. People need to take responsibility of their own actions and say “mea culpa” and be a man, so to speak. Accountability is one thing. Blaming others (e.g. “stress”) is to deny their own responsibility. No one forced anybody (aside from rape) when it comes to consensual and informed sex. Learn to accept the consequences of your actions.
If I want to address that having a single partner is much, much safer than having multiple partners, I’ll do it:
If I want I’ll address the virtues and merits of the ABC method I’ll do it despite the fact I mentioned that I’m supremely confident we’ll find a cure for AIDS someday but provided a caveat:
If I want I’ll address how many gay people refuse to face the stark reality of HIV risk when many of them are unaware that they’re infected, I’ll do it:
If I want to address risky practices that can reduce life expectancy whether it’s sky-diving, smoking or playing tag with a grizzly bear I’ll do it:
If I want to I’ll congratulate the GLBT group for starting a persecution awareness campaign on Islamic countries that commit atrocities against homosexuals, I’ll do it:
Even now, the GLBT group is starting an awareness "campaign" on this practices in Muslim-run and government controlled countries. Good for them. Count yourselves very fortunate to be living in America.http://kokonutpundits.blogspot.com/2005/05/execution-of-homosexuals-and-others-in.html
If I want to express the ludicrousness about “gay” courses or those who purposely chase after HIV so they won’t feel “left” out I’ll do it:
If I want to express that a one partner system would make sense rather than engage in risky multiple-partners I will:
If I want to express that I feel that abstinence is a doable goal I’ll do it:
If I want to show the myth that Reagan never done anything about HIV I’ll do it:
And, now, if I were to cite HIV and abstinence studies, AIDS deaths, and what not, how does that make me “anti-gay”? How would reporting today’s news about the spread of HIV or the success of abstinence in Uganda constitute as an “anti-gay” motive?
Would reporting on the number of Americans with HIV now over 1 million (more than at the height of the HIV “epidemic”) in a news release yesterday by the CDC be constituted as an “anti-gay” stance? Hardly.
People, stop wringing your hands and accept the fact that HIV is one bad dude. None of my blogs commenting on HIV, abstinence, health studies, faithfulness or a one partner/spouse concept are about bashing gay. Hardly, please remove your heads out of the sand.
What I bash is on lack of common sense by people who engage in risky sexual practices. Granted, they can do whatever they want and justify their actions when it comes to consensual and informed sex. Once a person gets HIV, he or she can only blame him/herself.
Now, I don’t wish HIV/STDs on anyone. I never did. I have no desire to do so. AIDS is a horrible result caused by the HIV virus that can ravage the body. I don’t jump in glee when someone dies (e.g. old age, disease, heart attack, accidents, etc). Neither do I jump in glee by those who contract HIV, melanoma, Alzheimer, or cancer just because I dislike a particular person because of his or her political views and beliefs in America. People who do that are simply mentally sick people. They resort to their own breakdown on logic by lashing out death wishes or go about “high-fivings” upon hearing deaths of well known personalities because they “deserved it”. Or proclaim "good riddance." WTF??
Sick. You know that. Other people know that. But many people just don’t want to admit it.
Now, you can debate me but calling names or wish deaths upon people not politically agreeable to you is not a sign of an intelligent person.
But mark my words, continue reading future comments and you will see people continue to smear me as “anti-gay” solely because of my political view and beliefs when in fact I'm "anti-HIV."
Al Franken became the guest who wouldn't leave — at a talk-radio convention held in his honor.
The talk-show host (WLIB/1190 AM) was forced off the stage after his award acceptance speech became a nearly half-hour rant against TV commentator Bill O'Reilly and the war in Iraq.
"Al, hurry up," said Michael Harrison, publisher of Talkers magazine, the convention sponsor.
"It's freedom of speech," replied Franken, referring to the Freedom of Speech Award he'd just been given by the magazine.
"It's not freedom to kill everybody's evening," Harrison shot back.
Bada bing! One for the Gipper.
Here's another account with more details but just as funny.
I think Al Franken has been living with a wedgie for much too long. Let it go, Al. Let it go. And please, wash your underwear thoroughly while you're at it. That Err America is leaving a bad stain.
Now, I gotta listen to what Rush Limbaugh has to say this morning on his radio show. Ought to be a hoot.

From the FJORDMAN blog!:
Muslim Rape Epidemic in Sweden and Norway - Authorities Look the Other Way
Numbers released in January 2005 indicate a sharp rise in the number of rape charges in Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city:
Thomas Anderberg, responsible for statistics at the Malmö Police, says there was a doubling of the number of reported rapes by ambush in 2004, following what was already a decade of steadily increasing numbers of sexual crimes. - I think that’s great news, says Anna Gustafsson, head of the Domestic Violence Unit at the Malmö Police. She suggests that the increase is due to the fact that women who otherwise wouldn’t press charges for rape now choose to contact the police.
In other words, Gustafsson claims that we are dealing with a “technical” increase, not a real one. However, national statistics reveal that reported rapes against children have almost doubled in Sweden during the past ten years:
According to Swedish Radio on Tuesday, statistics from Sweden’s National Council for Crime Prevention show that the number of reported rapes against children is on the rise. The figures have nearly doubled in the last ten years: 467 rapes against children under the age of 15 were reported in 2004 compared with 258 in 1995. Legal proceedings continue this week in a case involving a 13 year old girl from Motala who was said to have been subjected to a group rape by four men. (Note: These four men were Kurdish Muslims, who raped the girl for hours and even took photos of doing so)
The number of rape charges per capita in Malmö is 5 – 6 times that of Copenhagen, Denmark. Copenhagen is a larger city, but the percentage of immigrants is much lower. And it’s not just the rape statistics that reveal a scary increase in Malmö or Sweden. Virtually every kind of violent crime is on the rise. Robberies have increased with 50 % in Malmö only during the fall of 2004. Threats against witnesses in Swedish court cases have quadrupled between 2000 and 2003. During the past few decades, massive immigration has changed the face of Sweden’s major cities, as well as challenged the viability of the welfare state. In 1970 Sweden had the fourth highest GDP per capita among developed countries with income about 6% above the OECD average. By 1997 it was at fifteenth place with an average GDP per capita 14% below average. Malmö has a heavy concentration of Muslim immigrants in particular. According to some estimates, it will be a Muslim majority city in no more then 10 years. Crime is rampant in the growing ghettos:
Becirov runs the Islamic Center of Malmö, on the outskirts of Sweden's third-largest city. Some immigrant neighborhoods in the city have (official) unemployment rates exceeding 50 percent. Swedish authorities have failed to lift up the area, and seem to be giving the Islamic Center of Malmö a great deal of leeway in attempting to do so. An article that appeared in 2003 noted that "a few" of the 6-to 10-year-old girls were wearing headscarves. On a visit in January 2005, fully 80 percent were covered in class--only a handful were not. In a fit of absent-mindedness, Sweden has suddenly become as heavily populated by minorities as any country in Europe. The percentage of foreign-born is roughly equivalent to the highest percentage of immigrants the United States ever had in its history (on the eve of World War I). Rosengård appears to be all-immigrant. The public schools have virtually no ethnically Swedish children. There are stories--familiar in other parts of Europe where immigrants from the Muslim world have recently settled--of students harassing Jewish teachers and defacing textbooks that treat Jewish themes. Crime is high.
Is it unfair and “racist” to suggest a link between the influx of Muslim immigrants and the growing number of rapes? Not if we compare with the situation in neighboring Denmark, where this trend has been evident for years:
Criminologist: immigrants are rape champions
If one leading expert is to be believed, the sharp rise in the number of rapes in this over the last 5 years is largely attributable to a group of unemployed and alienated immigrants. 'Over the last 5-10 years there has an increasing tendency to marginalise and alienate immigrants,' says Professor Flemming Balvig, a criminologist at Copenhagen University. 'As a result, many second generation immigrants have reacted against this through various types of criminal activity, including rape.'
Muslim rape concern
Alarmed at last week's police statistics, which revealed that in 68% of all rapes committed this year the perpetrator was from an ethnic minority, leading Muslim organisations have now formed an alliance to fight the ever-growing problem of young second and third-generation immigrants involved in rape cases against young Danish girls.
As Robert Spencer has demonstrated, rape can indeed be linked to Islamic teachings of Jihad, and even to the example of Muhammad himself, his Sunna. Above all, it is connected to Islamic notions of the role of women in society, and their behaviour in the public sphere. An Islamic Mufti in Copenhagen sparked a political outcry after publicly declaring that women who refuse to wear headscarves are "asking for rape." Apparently, he isn’t the only Muslim in Europe to think this way:
The German journalist Udo Ulfkotte told in a recent interview that in Holland, you can now see examples of young, unveiled Moroccan women with a so-called "smiley". It means that the girl gets one side of her face cut up from mouth to ear, serving as a warning to other Muslim girls who should refuse to wear the veil. In the Muslim suburb of Courneuve, France, 77 per cent of the veiled women carry veils reportedly because of fear of being harassed or molested by Islamic moral patrols.
Hijab, the Islamic veil, is thus not ”just a piece of cloth”. It serves as a demarcation line between proper, submissive Muslim women and whores, un-Islamic women who deserve no respect and are asking for rape. The veil should more properly be viewed as the uniform of a Totalitarian movement, and a signal to attack those outside the movement. Judged in the light of the Mufti who said that women who don’t wear it are asking for rape, how on earth can the veil be said to be about ”choice”? The freedom to choose not to be raped if you dress in a normal fashion in your own country? Is that what freedom is about in Europe in 2005?
Even though Sweden, unlike Denmark, has almost no public debate about immigration, frustration is very much present underneath the surface. 75 % of Swedes think that many people in their country “dislike” Muslims, more than in any other European nation surveyed. Even in Holland, which recently witnessed violent clashes with Muslims after the murder of Islam-critic Theo van Gogh, the rate is lower than in Sweden. But you’re not supposed to talk about such issues in Sweden. That would be “racist”:
Swedish laws prohibiting "hate speech" against racial minorities have been vigorously enforced. There have, for example, been a number of gang-rapes of Swedish women by Muslim immigrants. But Swedes must be careful what they say about them. On May 25, neo-Nazi Bjorn Bjorkqvist was convicted and sentenced to two months in prison for writing, "I don’t think I am alone in feeling sick when reading about how Swedish girls are raped by immigrant hordes." ["Jag tror inte jag är ensam om att må dåligt när jag läser om hur svenska tjejer har våldtagits av invandrarhorder"]
All in all, we must say that there is strong circumstantial evidence indicating that the rise in rape charges in the city of Malmö could very well be real, which puts the Malmö Police assertion that this is “great news” in a rather curious light. And the problem is not just limited to Sweden. It exists in Norway, too:
Rape charges in the capital are spiraling upwards, 40 percent higher from 1999 to 2000 and up 13 percent so far this year. Police Inspector Gunnar Larsen of Oslo's Vice, Robbery and Violent crime division says the statistics are surprising - the rising number of rape cases and the link to ethnic background are both clear trends. But Larsen does not want to speculate on the reasons behind the worrying developments. While 65 percent of those charged with rape are classed as coming from a non-western background, this segment makes up only 14.3 percent of Oslo's population. Norwegian women were the victims in 80 percent of the cases, with 20 percent being women of foreign background.
Europe: Tolerating Intolerance
An incredibly revealing article that tells us all we need to know about the multiculturalist fetish in Europe and some parts of North America, not to mention the need for change within Islam. Apparently, the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet reported that 65 percent of rapes of Norwegian women were performed by "non-Western" immigrants – a category that, in Norway, consists mostly of Muslims. The article quoted a professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo (note: her name is Unni Wikan) as saying that "Norwegian women must take their share of responsibility for these rapes" because Muslim men found their manner of dress provocative. The professor's conclusion was not that Muslim men living in the West needed to adjust to Western norms, but the exact opposite: "Norwegian women must realize that we live in a multicultural society and adapt themselves to it."
In January 2005, Norwegian media reported that 2004 saw the highest number or rape charges ever recorded in the capital city of Oslo. Strangely enough, there was now no mentioning of how immigrants were grossly overrepresented in rape cases. Why not? Unless there has been a sudden and unexplained drop in the number of immigrants raping Norwegian women between 2001 and 2004, which is unlikely, the statistics should be at least as staggering in 2005 as they were before. If they are not revealed, it can only mean that “somebody” didn’t like the numbers presented in 2001, and decided to bury them. That “somebody” must be a person at the very top level in the police, maybe even in the government. If so, that is disquieting. What is even more disquieting is that the media are equally silent about this. How come no journalists are digging into the material? And where are all the professional Feminists, in a Scandinavian nation brimming with them?
The conclusion one may draw from this is that the authorities in Sweden and Norway know about, or should know about, a disturbing amount of Muslim immigrant rapes of native Scandinavian women, yet choose not to make this information known to the public. Perhaps it would be just too politically incorrect to reveal the negative effects of decades of naïve immigration policies. Perhaps it would also destroy too many multicultural pipe dreams among the intellectual elites, who have built their current careers and reputations on advocating how culturally and economically enriching this new population mix would be. So in the end, the safety of young Scandinavian women is sacrificed in order to keep the glossy image of a multicultural society intact. It is a chilling demonstration of an Eurabian continent that now appears to care more about not upsetting relations with its immigrant population than about protecting its own citizens.
There was a good note in all this, he was quite concillatory with Kevin McBride winning probably because McBride spared him additional humiliation had he taunted Mike for sitting on the canvas refusing to get up. He was pushed down for pete's sake! I hope Mike Tyson have a more peaceful life. Boxing isn't everything. Time to let go of the ropes, Mike.

Yet Another Study Confirms Gay Life Expectancy 20 Years Shorter
WASHINGTON, DC, June 6, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A new study which analyzed tens of thousands of gay obituaries and compared them with AIDS deaths data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), has shown that the life expectancy for homosexuals is about twenty years shorter than that of the general public. The study, entitled “Gay obituaries closely track officially reported deaths from AIDS”, has been published in Psychological Reports (2005;96:693-697).
In an interview with lifesitenews.com, Dr. Paul Cameron, the President of the Family Research Institute and the scientist who headed the study, indicated that he was not at all surprised by the findings. Rather he said that it only served as further confirmation for what had long been known and other studies have already shown.
One such study was conducted in Vancouver British Columbia and published in 1997 in the International Journal of Epidemiology (Vol. 26, 657-61). It almost exactly mirrors the findings of Cameron’s research.
The Vancouver study was conducted by a team of pro-gay researchers, who, upon finding that pro-family advocates were using the results of their research as confirmation for their beliefs about the risks of the homosexual lifestyle, issued a statement trying to curb this unintended after-effect. “The aim of our work,” said the research team, “was to assist health planners with the means of estimating the impact of HIV infection on groups, like gay and bisexual men, not necessarily captured by vital statistics data and not to hinder the rights of these groups worldwide. Overall, we do not condone the use of our research in a manner that restricts the political or human rights of gay and bisexual men or any other group.”
Despite their attempts to downplay the practical consequences of their research, it is difficult to ignore that the study concluded with the statement that “under even the most liberal assumptions, gay and bisexual men in this urban centre [Vancouver, BC] are now experiencing a life expectancy similar to that experienced by all men in Canada in the year 1871.” Corresponding almost exactly with Cameron’s study, the Vancouver study indicated that “life expectancy at age 20 years for gay and bisexual men is 8 to 20 years less than for all men.”
Dr. Cameron indicated that he hoped the sobering results of the new study, in addition to such similar past studies, would finally cause a “reexamination”, saying that “our society needs to reassess what it’s doing with those who engage in homosexuality.”

"The Republicans are not very friendly to different kinds of people...."
"They're a pretty monolithic party......"
"They all behave the same and they all look the same....."
"It's pretty much a white, Christian party...."
And now with the latest overly racist remark, "It's pretty much a white, Christian party." This is a perfect example of Howard Dean's attempt to try and polarize the diversity of the Moderate constituents into thinking it's an exclusive all-white GOP Christian party. Much like what the terrorists have been doing in Iraq, polarize the Shiites and Kurds, a sign of desperation or idiocy, or both. Well, I got news for ya Dean, the GOP is much more diverse than you think (btw, La Shawn is a black Republican), and you still keep insulting the black caucus, the hispanics, the non-whites and so on. The Republican party is known for its diversity.
According to one noted black author, Rev. Wayne Perryman who wrote a critically acclaimed book "Unfounded Loyalty, " disagrees with Howard Dean's remarks and attitudes. Rev. Perryman says he researched American history spanning 1832 to 2002 to arrive at his conclusion that Democrats are not real friends or allies of blacks.
*for over 150 years, blacks were victims of terrorist attacks by the Democrats and their Klan supporters, including lynching, beating, rapes and mutilations
*On the issue of slavery, the Democrats literally gave their lives to expand it; the Republicans gave their lives to ban it.
*Many believed the Democrats had a change of heart and fell in love with blacks. To the contrary, history reveals the democrats didn't fall in love with black folks, they fell in love with the black vote knowing this would be their ticket into the white house.
And we expand more with....
Our nation's top historians reveal that the Democratic Party gave us the Ku Klux Klan, Black Codes, Jim Crow Laws and other repressive legislation which resulted in the multitude of murders, lynchings, mutilations, and intimidations (of thousands of black and white Republicans).
On the issue of slavery: historians say the Democrats gave their lives to expand it, the Republicans gave their lives to ban it.
Regarding the Republican Party, historians report that while Democrats were busy passing laws to hurt blacks, Republicans devoted their time to passing laws to help blacks. Republicans were primarily responsible for the following Civil Rights legislation:
1. The Emancipation Proclamation
2. The 13th Amendment
3. The 14th Amendment
4. The 15th Amendment
5. The Reconstruction Act of 1867
6. The Civil Rights of 1866
7. The Enforcement Act of 1870
8. The Forced Act of 1871
9. The Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871
10. The Civil Rights Act of 1875
11. The Freeman Bureau
12. The Civil Rights Act of 1957
13. The Civil Rights Act of 1960
14. The United State Civil Rights Commission
And gave strong bi-partisan support and sponsorship for the following legislation
15. The Civil Rights Act of 1964
17. The Voting Rights Act of 1965
18. The 1968 Civil Rights Acts
19. The Equal Opportunity Act of 1972
20. Goals and Timetables for Affirmative Action Programs
21. Comprehensive Employment Training Act of 1973
22. Voting Rights Act of Amendment of 1982
23. Civil Rights Act of 1983
24. Federal Contract Compliance and Workforce Development Act of 1988
Programs By Republicans & their Supporters include:
a. Many of our key traditional Black Colleges are named after Republicans Colleges
b. The Freedman Bureauc. Historians say that three whites that opposed the Democrat's racist practices, including the lynching of blacks, founded and funded the NAACP
But here is Rev. Perryman's complete summary:
Political HIGHLIGHTS OF Unfounded Loyalty Findings Regarding Republicans & Democrats From the Civil War To 2003:
1. Both parties were inspired, by the Bible: one party believed the Bible supported their position that blacks should be free, the other believed the Bible said that blacks should be slaves (Based on the curse of Ham in Genesis 9:25-27. Note: The Muslims were the first religious group to enslave and trade Africans as slaves - 800 years before Columbus allegedly discovered America.
2. One party and their abolitionist supporters believed the Bible instructed them to lay down their lives for the slaves, the other party and their supporters believed the Bible gave them the right to take the lives of blacks if they rebelled against being slaves.
3. On the issue of slavery, one party and its supporters gave their lives to expand it (to Northern states) and the other party and their supporters gave their lives to ban it.
4. One party was heavily influenced by the Abolitionists and the radical wing of their party (Radical Republicans) and the other party was influenced by the Ku Klux Klan and other terrorist groups.
5. One party and its supporters started the Freedman's Bureau and other programs to help build communities for blacks, the other party and their supporters engaged in practices to hinder those efforts and to destroy those communities (Wilmington, North Carolina).
6. One party and its supporters established quality schools and colleges for blacks, the other party and their supporters engaged in practices that attempted to close some of those schools or diminish their quality.
7. One party passed laws and Constitutional Amendments (13th , 14th , 15th) to include blacks as part of mainstream society, the other party passed laws to exclude them from the mainstream (Jim Crow Laws and Black Codes). One set of laws that were designed to help blacks, the other set of laws designed tohurt or hinder blacks.
8. The members of one party gave black voters protection, members of the other party murdered, tortured and intimidated black voters.9. By 1900, as the lynchings of blacks increased (by the members of Democratic Party and their Klan supporters) the number of black politicians decreased. Up to this time (1900) all of the black elected officials in Congress were Republicans.
10. By 1933, black leaders believed Republicans took their vote for granted and elected Franklin D. Roosevelt. Not long after Roosevelt took office, he banned black newspapers from the military and refused to pass key legislation to help blacks (Civil Rights Commission and Anti-Klan laws).
11. By 1945 (under President Truman), the military was in the process of being integrated, the integration process was completed under President Dwight D. Eisenhower, a Republican President.
12. During the Eisenhower Administration other Civil Rights Laws were passed and school desegregation began (as a result of pressure from the African American community).
13. During the 1960's, the Black Church, which was the foundation of the black community, ultimately became the salvation of the Democratic Party (their only hope for the White House).
14. Under President Lyndon Johnson, a Democrat, the 1964 Civil Rights Act was passed. Johnson commended Senator Everett Dirksen a Republican senator from Illinois for pushing the law through. More Republicans voted for this law than Democrats. Southern Democrats voted against the law.
15. Under Republican President, Richard Nixon the 1972 Equal Employment Opportunity Act was passed and Affirmative Action was established with quotas, goals and timetables.
16. By the time Ronald Reagan took office in 1981 both parties were being influenced by individuals who claimed they were former racist and/or Klansmen (Senator Robert Byrd, Strom Thurmond, George Wallace, and Trent Lott to name a few).
17. By 2003, the Democratic Party had elected white women and white menas U.S. Senators (for their party), but never a black man. The Republican had elected three.
18. By 2003, the Democratic Party had never offered an apology for thehorrific atrocities that they had committed against blacks over the past 150plus years.
Summary: The past activities of both parties has a residual resounding affect on blacks today. From one group and their supporters, millions of blacks are still raduating from the schools and colleges that they established; they are still getting the benefits from the constitutional amendments and laws that they legislated; and they are still getting protection from the organizations that they founded and financed (theNAACP). From the racist efforts and practices of the other group and their supporters, blacks are still trying to heal from the wounds inflicted on them (during the past 150 years) and they are still trying to overcome the racist practices and laws that excluded them from the mainstream. Since 1863, the Republicans have sponsored, supported and passed more Civil Rights legislation favoring African Americans than the Democratic Party.
Conclusions: Today both the Republicans and the Democrats are overlooking their past. One party is overlooking the terrible acts they have committed against blacks. The other party is overlooking the terrific things they done for blacks. One party literally gave their lives to hurt blacks, the other party gave their lives to help blacks. One needs to remember its past to correct their errors, and the other needs to remember their past to continue the things they did for us.
Today, the Republicans have more elected non-white officials in a more diverse surrounding than ever before.
KEEP IT UP DEAN!
During last year's presidential campaign, John F. Kerry was the candidate often portrayed as intellectual and complex, while George W. Bush was the populist who mangled his sentences. But newly released records show that Bush and Kerry had a virtually identical grade average at Yale University four decades ago.
In 1999, The New Yorker published a transcript indicating that Bush had received a cumulative score of 77 for his first three years at Yale and a roughly similar average under a non-numerical rating system during his senior year.
Kerry, who graduated two years before Bush, got a cumulative 76 for his four years, according to a transcript that Kerry sent to the Navy when he was applying for officer training school. He received four D's in his freshman year out of 10 courses, but improved his average in later years.
Of course, there is a greater tendency to improve later on in school.
The transcript shows that Kerry's freshman-year average was 71. He scored a 61 in geology, a 63 and 68 in two history classes, and a 69 in political science. His top score was a 79, in another political science course. Another of his strongest efforts, a 77, came in French class. His strongest effort...French? Ah, that explains why he likes France so much. Looks like one, too.
In addition to Kerry's four D's in his freshman year, he received one D in his sophomore year. He did not fail any courses.
Four D's? And George Bush only received one "D".
''I always told my Dad that D stood for distinction," Kerry said yesterday in a written response to questions, noting that he has previously acknowledged that he spent a lot of time learning to fly instead of focusing on his studies.
A "D" for "Distinction"?? "D" also means dummy in the world of education.
And for those who guffawed over George W. Bush' grades thinking that Kerry's the intellectual elite? Here's looking back at ya!
UPDATE: Thanks "R". You still read my posts. Thanks for commenting. We *know* you can't keep your words. Just like John Kerry, you also get a "D". Please, wear it on your sleeves. It's a badge of honor from me to you. I know you're trying not to reply in RWR's site but you GOTTA make a reply in your blog, eh? The silence must be deafening for you. *clap* *clap* *clap*
Go here and see the compare and contrast between Kerry and Bush. Positively scary.

Steve Sandy, who is Deaf, has been conducting research ever since 1989 into the life of William Ellsworth "Dummy" Hoy, who attended the Ohio School for the Deaf. And now, there are plans to make this story into a movie:
The movie then goes into his early life, Risotto said.
"We want to shoot in Ohio, and we want to shoot in his hometown," the director added. Hoy was born in Houcktown, outside of Findlay in Hancock County.
Financial backing for the movie is being sought. Based on the response he has gotten so far, Risotto said that he hopes to begin filming by September.
People both inside and outside the film industry are intrigued when they hear about the deaf baseball player, Risotto said. "They say that's an incredible story and wonder why they've never heard of him, and when I start saying more they say, 'Why isn't this guy in the Hall of Fame?' "There's a lot of interest in this person."
Indeed. Other people have found out about "Dummy" Hoy and wanted to do something about it.
You can contact Steve Sandy at email@example.com or here (scroll down to see his name) for more information or ways to contribute to the filming. Meanwhile, check out what Steve Sandy has been doing about "Dummy" Hoy.
This is what we need, more "go-getters."
Go get 'em Sandy!
