: Jason and I typed to chat in realtime. No need for lipreading. No writing. Or an interpreter. Although one was present just to read to you what Jason typed to me. The device is called "UbiDuo". "Ubi" short for "ubiquitous" - being everywhere.

Voice over by lady with red shirt sitting in chair next to Jason and reads what he wrote for the camera: "My father said, (short laugh), 'I am frustrated.' "

Meryl Lin McKean: One day Jason's Dad, who could hear, had trouble communicating with Jason in a restaurant. He went home and drew a design.

Voice over by lady reading what Jason is typing for the camera: "I jumped up and down screaming at the top of my lungs. And said, 'Dad! That is going to change the world for millions of people who are deaf and hard of hearing!' "
