Kokonut Pundit - the longest continuously running deaf/hh blog around?
My Kokonut Pundit blog will be approaching its 7th year this October when I began blogging in 2004. With over 1,558 blog posts (not counting this one) I believe I am probably the most prolific deaf/hh blogger around if I may be so bold. With a few pauses here and there I maintained my regular blogging ever since covering interests ranging from politics, the environment, the Gallaudet University protest, deaf and hard of hearing issues, advances in technology and biotechnology, and lately the AB2072 debacle. Unless if I'm mistakened, and readers can point this out to me, are there other blogs that have been around much longer than mine and continuously blogged on a regular basis? If so then I will stand corrected. However, from what I can I tell, at least here in the United States, the Kokonut Pundit blog is the longest running and regularly maintained deaf/hh blog around. And certainly one of the more popular deaf/hh blogs around, too. Thank you, readers!

Amazing! Did not know how long you've been doing it. I only discovered v/blogging sphere in 2008, thanks to John Egbert who told me I ought to try it. Bet he regretted that. (LOL)
But anyway, congratulation on being the longest continuously running deaf/hh blog around. I don't think I'd be interested in doing it for that long but then, who knows. For me there is more to life than v/blogging but year I'll always be around, checking a thing or two, spilling my thoughts from time to time. That's for sure.
But hey, congratulation!
Congrats! I look forward to your 2,000th post
Thanks all.
My 2000th post? That's 442 posts to go. If I keep going at this rate it should be sometime by the end of next year. We'll see.
As for RLM who keeps trying to post here. You're not welcomed!
And others who post here, please observe my rules by clicking on the link above where it says "Rules on commenting click here."
And, oh, if people are thinking of others who might have blogged longer, think and look again. It'd have to be a continuing blogging effort. Just leaving a blog up and not do anything doesn't count. Or doing it once a year. Nope. Doing so gives up any claim to that status.
So, if anybody can show me if there is another blog out there let us know!
:P
Do you know if readers read back 7 years ? I think I have done 5 but not on an American aggregate. I don't actually retain blogs older than a year now.
I may not be famous because I try to avoid drama when I can, however you claim to be the longest running deaf/hoh blog is incorrect. I am NOT Going to claim the title because who knows other deafies out there we just dont know about.
However, I recently celebrated 9 years with my blog as I started on 8/15/2001.
Very cool, Mike. May you blog for eternity and beyond! LOL. Keep up the great work, Mike! :)
