Let's expand on this here on what's an overly active imagination looks like.
In Russell Errigo's vlog he talked about his fears on how the California government could one day cut off funds to organizations in the hearing loss field in Julie Rems Smario Facebook discussion on June 6, 2010 at 3:09 PM.
My biggest fear is seeing a huge state cutbacks to Norcal, DCARA, GLAD and other sister organization who opposed the AB...2072. The state recognized them as one side viewpoint which does not meet the state standard for the funding purposes. The bridges have been burned.I remember that comment very clearly. He's clearly concerned. There is no doubt about that.
A couple of months later in August 2004 he brought up the same points and concerns about the potential loss of fundings of deaf organizations in his YouTube video starting at the 1 minute 5 second mark. In that video he did refer elsewhere about a Facebook discussion he had a few months earlier discussing that same concern of his on funding cuts.
But here's the thing. I was a bit dismayed seeing intelligent people who actually thought Russell would call upon the government of California to encourage them to de-fund deaf organizations such as NorCal, DCARA and so forth. No such verbal threats ever happened from Russell. Russell is already on record hoping that this funding cuts WON'T HAPPEN to those deaf organizations. He is already on record as seen in the links I've provided. He clearly shows a concern for those deaf organizations who might see a cut in funds from the state in the coming months and years ahead.
So much for that.
Then there's another discovery on the curious mindset of how some Deaf people think that targeting other Deaf people is justified by contacting their employers. Actions manifested into this whole neurotic orgasm of this "deafhood" movement that has been running amok ever since.
Candy (see her blog) was a victim of a planned attack when nutty people actually contacted her employer based on a lie and disagreements over her blogging opinions and facts. Although her workshop presentation at the 2010 IRS/DEAF Leadership Development Conference in Salt Lake City recently was a success despite their failed attempt to "boycott" her workshop.
Anybody with a mindset thinking their action is justified in calling an employer over an opinion piece or get upset when a Deaf person works with a variety of deaf and hard of hearing people and organizations (i.e. "working with the enemies") would be seen as borderline delusional. It doesn't pass the smell test when they know their action is designed to psychologically hurt, intimidate, and/or instill certain institutional fear in Deaf people by calling their employers. That action alone is a classic example of how it can fall under the cyberbullying or bullying category. And for those who contribute to help on addressing the cyberbullying problem but at the same time secretly nod in approval on the tactic of contacting employers is an example of hypocrisy in action.
The vulgarization of "deafhood" continues.

Interesting to see no comments made. Looks like many are silenced by the truth that I've presented in my blog. And that there were no threats made by Russell. Somehow in their own twisted mind they think its an attack.
My advice to some of those "leaders" out there? Read carefully. And, get off of your high horse, too.
Mike, I am truly disappointed that you would do this posting in this manner. I have saved copies of Rusell's cyber stalking comments to me on facebook messages and aim. Be real careful please in "choosing sides" when you have no clue. If he continues to harrass me, I will go to the police.
Sheri,
I have not seen any evidence online the claims you have made about him. I am basing it on what I've seen and heard so far. If you have examples of him doing the things you said he did publicly on the internet then please point them out to me. He is genuinely concerned that fundings would be cut to those deaf/hh service organizations in California and I understand his points about the lost opportunity in AB2072 and how California is in an economic mess that those deaf/hh services might see a loss in funds in the coming years.
Also, to add, this is about the responses I've seen from other people about him and how they have attacked him based on what I've seen online so far. Now, if he were to do those things publicly and can be seen by the public over the internet (e.g. blogs, vlogs, comments, etc), sure, I'd be more agreeable with you Sheri. But it's your word with no links, examples, or whatever against his. What I've seen are his opinions and make a lot of good points in his vlogs.
Now, if he were to do those things publicly and can be seen by the public over the internet (e.g. blogs, vlogs, comments, etc), sure, I'd be more agreeable with you Sheri if you have the screenshots or links, that'd be fine. But if there are no links, concrete examples, or whatever then it's your word against his and that I think has to do with private conversations rather than public ones. I'm already leaning toward Russell based on what I've seen so far over what's publicly available on the internet. Now, I go by facts. I want to see them. If there are damning facts that can sway my decision one way or the other on who said or did what then that would be the case. Private conversations? Then that's a different story. We already saw the Michelle vs Russell court case where private conversations took place via emails and VPs. She said he made a threat(s) to her. The judge saw no evidence of that based on the evidences submitted to him. Who am I or others on the outside to believe? Her or the judge? Until I see otherwise based on facts, I cannot make a decision based on heresay but right now I am simply leaning on Russell side because of the available facts. Not about "choosing" sides but because what I've seen so far. And he makes a lot good points, too, when it comes to deaf-related issues.
If you think you have a strong enough evidence then please go to the police rather than talking about it. That's all I have to say. I still think cyberbullying is a problem but people have different perspective of what constitutes cyberbullying. There's a crossing of the line when it comes to berating, harrassing and just making your feelings known.
I would have to agree with Mike here, I waited to see if anyone would comment and no one did. Which is awesome because it validates what Mike is getting at.
I have seen way too much bullying against Russell over the years and he continues to stand tall, regardless. A strong individual who isn't going to let others bully him into oblivion. A lot of the bullying is due to his views based on his son and his wife's experience with cochlear implants and the fact that he supports parents right to be informed and to choose.
The vp taping of Russell by Michelle told me more than I needed to know. Turns out this same Michelle contacted my employer.
She pointed out to my post "ideology of the deaf" as her evidence that I look down on deaf people. There was nothing in that post that indicated that. She only looked at words, she did not bother to look at the context of my post. Please do check out that post and tell me if it was condescending.
Anyone who tapes another person's conversation without their permission speaks loud about their integrity and it affects my view of said person.
Yah know Mike, This "cyberbully" issue that you and other bloggers have blogged about recently is not new to the blogoshpere. Back in September 27, 2008, deafhope.org, wrote a pact and invited others to sign this pact. And the cyberbully continues..... why am I not suprised?

Mike,
I went into my facebook and blocked/eliminated Sheri on my friends list. After she accused me, it's no different than Michelle. It's absurd that Sheri assumes that about me.
The bridge has been burned, unfortunately.
Russell
