Hubbs Burns the Ice Again

Michael Hubbs continues to burn the ice in his quest to compete in the 2014 Winter Olympics Long Track Speed Skating. Yesterday he won the bronze medal for Masters International Long Track Speed Skating Championship for the the 1,500 meters competition where he broke 2 of his personal records in the 500 and 1,500 meters according to his Facebook announcement.  Michael realized that he's more suited on competing in the longer speed skate tracks rather than the sprints such as the 500 meters.  Just to give you an idea on how well Mike's condition is on competing he was off for about two weeks during the Christmas and New Year's holiday break and had only 2 days to train before the race. He was able to get the bronze (3rd place) for the 1,500 meters.  Today he will compete again in the 5,000 meters at the Masters International Long Track Speed Skating Championship in Milwaukee and we'll soon know the results. One thing we know for sure and that Michael Hubbs continues to improve in the long track speed skating competitions. Be sure to like Hubbs' Facebook and keep track of his quest for the Olympics gold.

UPDATEMichael won the silver medal (2nd place) for 500 meters total points.

UPDATE II: Michael provided more updates on his medals.  Silver-500m total points age group. Bronze-1,500m Overall. Silver - 5,000m age group. Silver-1,500m age group. 4 medals in all.
