230,000 Iraqi Soldiers and Police to Provide Election Security
Check it out. 230, 000 Iraqi soldiers and police are to provide security for the upcoming December 15th election where voters will choose members of the first permanent democratic government in Iraq's history. It has been more than 50 years since the last free election in Iraq. More than 3,800 people are running for office. The expectation is that more voters will come out to vote than the Constitutional Referendum vote that was held recently in October. This whole democracy process is the surest sign of victory and success in Iraq. A sign of U.S. success on the war in Iraq to help Iraqi gain their freedom from tyranny.
Once the Iraqi soldiers and police are able to take greater and greater role in protecting and serving their country and ensure stable democratic process, then certainly there will be less and less U.S. soldiers in Iraq. Until they can stand up, we stand down.
Quagmire it is not. Are you listening liberals? Keep talking Howard Dean.
Michelle Malkin has more.
