Secularist Wafa Sultan versus Islamic Extremism
Here's Wafa Sultan, an Arab-American female psychologist who battle it out with religious extremists for their backward views saying that there is no clash of civilizations but a clash between the mentality of the backward Middle Age thinking to that of the 21st century. One Iman called her a "heretic." Watch this amazing video dialogue that took place on February 21, 2006. Here is this amazing transcript as well. This brave lady (ie "not a Muslim but a 'secular human being' ") has more guts than Ayaan Hirsi Ali to go head to head with one of the Imams on the show. These people are the new "Gandis," "Mother Teressas," "Martin Luther King, Jrs," "Rosa Parks" and so on who is willing to risk it. We need more people like these to help people wake up to these invading maruaders of backwardness of Islamic extremism that are seeping into every facet of our life and deny human decency to every man, woman and child by placing them into 14th century thinking.
My favorite part of the dialogue?
The Jews have come from the tragedy (of the Holocaust), and forced the world to respect them, with their knowledge, not with their terror, with their work, not their crying and yelling. Humanity owes most of the discoveries and science of the 19th and 20th centuries to Jewish scientists. 15 million people, scattered throughout the world, united and won their rights through work and knowledge. We have not seen a single Jew blow himself up in a German restaurant. We have not seen a single Jew destroy a church. We have not seen a single Jew protest by killing people. The Muslims have turned three Buddha statues into rubble. We have not seen a single Buddhist burn down a Mosque, kill a Muslim, or burn down an embassy. Only the Muslims defend their beliefs by burning down churches, killing people, and destroying embassies. This path will not yield any results. The Muslims must ask themselves what they can do for humankind, before they demand that humankind respect them.
Oh, how so true!
