Matt Hamill stated last week that he has come out of retirement after a year long break to fight in the upcoming UFC 152 fight on September 22 against Roger Hollett. The Hamill vs Hollet fight can be seen on Pay Per View TV.
Apparently Hamill's hunger to fight has not entirely disappeared after allowing his body, mind and spirit enough time to recover. The question now becomes can he make it at age 35 years old? Can he succeed in winning more UFC fights? We'll have to wait, watch and see what happens after September 22.
Welcome back, Matt!
The Hammer returns!

Welcome back, Hammer!
I am rooting for him, but he sure got hit pretty hard the last time out there...
I was so sure he'd come out of retirement within a year I even bet my friend $100. Ah, 1 year and 1 month, but at least I was close. Whenever I hear of a sports figure claiming retirement, especially boxers, I don't buy it. When money gets low, they always return to fighting.
He better not mess up this time, I'd hate to see him get all beaten up and he got beat almost to a pulp the last time. I hope he has gotten better since then. I met him in person and he's a likeable guy, so, I'll root for him again.
