The problem with satire
I've no problem with satires in the political realm of things, even in deaf politics. But to be a blogger and do satires by going after known deaf people in the blog/vlogosphere for "entertainment venue" or use "sarcasm in its stories" while hiding behind a disclaimer that everything blogged is simply fictional is being dishonest if not disingenuous. By repeatedly going after certain deaf people it would become increasingly obvious a blogger, in reality, has a political disagreement and makes it known by doing these "fictional stories." It's aggressiveness begins to stand out. It'd be easier to blog and state the reason why you disagree rather than hide behind a disclaimer that blogs are simply fictional stories. By doing these so-called "fictional stories" it becomes obvious the effort to hide behind political disagreements. Sorry, using a disclaimer won't work when it has already become obvious a blogger's own political disagreements in the world of deaf politics.

Deaf Anthology.
I went to check on that comment by a commentator over at Deaf Anthology's blog where he asked Gary questions about his intend - the post was about me, it was a dark humor. But, it's gone. Gary removed it. hmm I guess he has something to hide.
I really never had a problem with his blog except it would have been hilarious if anyone actually took his writing to heart, ya know?
It's all fictional.
But, if he constantly writes to go after someone because he disagrees with them, it says a lot about his level of maturity.
I have to be honest, there's been times where I found his post creepy. Heck, WI has been known to be the home of many serial killers.
lol
Did you see his latest? ZOMBIES! And, speaking of Zombies, the season premier of the Walking Dead ROCKS!
I'm for satire if its done well and isn't deliberately personal in a nasty way. If it is used that way then it's an form of hate crime isn't it ?
Yes, Candy, the two blogs were about you, the first one is about a candy factory (re: blog #529)in Racine, the second blog is based on a Sammy Davis' song "Candyman," (re: blog # 889) the lyrics in it was about people dying looking in a mirror, an urban legend in the projects of Chicago. Joe asked about my intentions, I think it's still there.
As issues with Kokonut Pundit (re: blog # 749" was about how in the past that those with some degree of residual hearing is classified as Deaf and yet has the ability to speak. The second is related to the death of Deafread (re: blog # 968) if we allows audists to dominate the agendas. As for Holism, most are reaction to his criticism of Gallaudet, D/d, Deafhood, DBC, etc. I assume there been a half dozens or so, he has a right to his opinion, but there has to be a line drawn somewhere, we been on the same issues over and over again, so I turn the table on Holism about Catholicism, White Supremacist Jan Smuts, and holism of the Aryan race in Nazi Germany. You can't talk to a brick wall, Holism maintains that the concept exists since Greek philosophy Aristotle, the same applied with Deafhood to the dawn of Man. Anyone can claim that Deafhood, Audism, etc doesn't exist in the dictionary, but we parents can't understand our kids with slangs, creating a generation gap.Deafhood is something you will never understand until you experience it, I understand that you going through a period of self denial. Deaf as uneducated, English isn't their primary language, there felt inferior being stereotype as such. Deafread and Youtube shouldn't reinforce those myths. Therefore, we need fresh materials, not recycled trash.

Gary Fitts' blog is recycled trash.
Gary, you continue to hide behind your disclaimer and at the same time say it's an "entertainment venue" do not wash here. What you have written in your blogs was by design a way for you to attack people. You made that clear by commenting that you tried to turn the table on Barry by writing fictional stories targeting him several times which means yours was personal yet hide behind your disclaimer.
Barry was making a point about DH and the a-wordism in the context of CAD's by-laws because those words are not legally defined and won't hold scrutiny in a court of law because the question of discrimination would be raised.
Lastly, nothing about self-denial but about the fact that there are people who really don't really care for the DH term. If you have read my recent blog "Deafhood? No Thanks...revisited" you can see why. And it was all in the name of politics and nothing more. No thanks. No one is denying their hearing loss, their communication struggles or the need for communication access.
Barry and everybody else have the right discuss whatever they wish to discuss in their blogs or vlog, even if discussing the same issue again. No one is being forced to read his vlogs or blogs.
Lastly, Deafread is an aggregator site. Note their disclaimer: "DeafRead does not endorse any of the blogs by the mere act of publishing." As long as blogs meet DR's guidelines, blogs get published.
